Designing for decisions when every second counts
Unmanned Defense Systems (UDS) is a defense technology provider developing a full kill chain ecosystem. Their focus is on seamlessly integrating UAV swarms, mission planning, loitering munitions, and post-strike assessment into one continuous workflow. UDS tools are not theoretical - they are already being deployed on the frontlines in Ukraine, proving their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
Our mission was to design the software that would empower UAV operators to control swarms efficiently in high-pressure, high-risk environments. At the same time, we created UDS’s digital presence - a website that communicates their vision to partners and investors.

What made this project unique was not just the complexity of defense workflows, but the need to design for operators working in extraordinary conditions: in darkness, under stress, often with gloves on, where clarity and reliability are non-negotiable.
From day one, we designed around the operator: UI layouts adapt to how the tablet is held, interface elements can be pinned or rearranged to match mission priorities, and critical actions are safeguarded with error-prevention mechanisms. Smooth mission planning flows, customizable map views, and an interface optimized for low-light environments all ensure operators can act with speed and confidence.

We designed UDS’s official website as both a brand platform and an investor-facing tool. Instead of relying on generic visuals, the site takes a conceptual approach: the interface incorporates UAV camera perspectives to highlight the central role of swarm C2. Interactive flows guide visitors through the kill chain, showing how each UDS product contributes at different stages . This approach not only conveys the complexity of UDS’s ecosystem with clarity but also positions the company as a credible innovator in defense, helping them attract strategic partnerships.
